Fall 2023-In East and Midwest top 6 make playoffs with 1 and 2 seeds getting byes in first round. In West A and B divisions top 4 in each make playoffs with winner of A and B playing in championship

In case of teams tied for a playoff spot the order in which a tie is broken is as follows a)head to head b)winning percentage in your division (vs teams that play in your division)c)winning percentage against team that finished first in your division d)winning percentage vs team that finished second in your division and so on as needed.e) coin flip.

3) All playoffs will be best of 3 games with the higher seeded team getting choice of home or away in first game or deferring to 2nd game for a choice and will get choice the 3rd game, the lower seed can have their choice in the other game..Also the lower seed will supply bases,if the lower seed does not have them then the higher seed will have home all games played that day.If neither team has bases then both teams will forfeit that day and not advance to the next round,so please make sure you have them. Also the higher seed will have choice of what side they sit on.

4) Teams with the better record get choice of field, however a team that finishes ahead of another team that has had a certain field all year can not bump off that team off it's field if that team also has a choice for a field. All first place teams pick first starting in the east, then central, then west. Then remaining east, then central, then west teams choose fields starting again in the east.

5.If applicable after each round the winning teams will all be reseeded with the highest seed playing the lowest seed etc.

12 run rule in the playoffs except a 15 run rule in championships.

7.Players must play in at least 10 games in the spring and 7 in the fall to be eligible for the playoffs.A team can now have 1 player who did not meet minimum requirements to play in the playoffs if said player was injured and this caused him not to get the games in.The following qualifications must be followed to have said player eligible:1)He had to have started the season playing for your team.2)He must present to Scott a doctors note saying no physical activity for so many weeks, dated and signed by the physician.3)Scott must learn when the said player is back playing again so I can note it.4)The games missed will count toward his games played.

8.Any player found not to have played in the minimum number of games to be eligible for playoffs will have their team forfeit that particular game. This can only be done during the game, after the game is over it cant be forfeitted for this rule. This also must be done in the first game the player plays in and called in during the game, once said player has played in the game and the game is over without notification then this rule is null and void for the rest of the day he plays.

Any protests submitted to the umpire during the playoffs must be called into Scott before the games continue on,as to have a decision rendered without having to replay the game. This should only be done for a rule violation, not a judgement call by the umpire.A decision to uphold or deny the protest will be done before the game continues. If the game proceeds before any protest decision is rendered, the protest shall be null and void and will not be valid. Please do not,if you want your protest heard, restart the game, even if the umpire says you must, please wait for Scott to hear the protest and talk to the umpire and team managers.
